- A perceptive position on the issue
- compelling and persuasive examples and reasons
- a well-developed, well-focused, and well-organized analysis and point of view ideas that logically connect to each other
- effective vocabulary, word choice, and sentence variety, communicating ideas fluently and precisely adept skill at using the conventions (i.e., grammar, usage, and mechanics) of standard written English, perhaps with minor errors.
Prompt:
“Scientific, not artistic, creations, should be the indicator of the value of civilization.”
Art and Science have been developed almost at the same speed. Even though Art has left numerous, and some of the most notorious landmarks during the develop of society, Science landmarks has started to take place most notoriously in the last two hundreds of years, which, by now, have been indicators of development to the present time.
In the past Art has portrayed most of the different stages of civilization, for example ,in the prehistoric era where cavemen painted on the walls of their caves to represent how was their way of living, and presenting one idea of evolution, “the society”. Or time after that in the medieval era where art was presenting an idea of religion, where the church created a dogma in the expression of ideas in all aspects of civilization from art to science, that left the free thinkers the only way to express their ideas thru art by standards of the church. No that much time later free thinkers began to express themselves by their own standards defying the church posture, starting a revolution of ideas, creating various stages like the Baroque, the Romanticism, and the Neo Modernism, among many others. Each one of this stages was represented by a strict type of techniques used in paintings, music and sculptures, defining, this way landmarks of the evolution of civilization.
In the last couple of hundreds of years the advances in technology and science has developed much faster than it has done it in the whole history in mankind. Advances in Medicine, Technology and many others started to leave marks in the modern society in this last hundred years defining stages faster than art did in the past, countries showed their power thru scientific advances, and the perfect examples are the U.S., Russia, and Japan, all of them trying to show their advances during war, also trying to be first one in technology as the nuclear bomb was invented, man got to the moon, medicine overcome polio, the first computer was invented, new physics theories were described and tested every day, internet was created leaving us with great opportunities in communication . In the last 20 years science has had progressed even faster, creating new generations of computers, drugs and communications, almost every five years or even lesser.
By now, almost every country is seen by other countries in wether they have the best and newest technology or not. So, first world countries have latest technologies, the best facilities, have the best scientist and are preparing the best scientist in the future, countries in development are trying to catch up, and that goal could take them years to achieve.
Art showed up and defined the most important stages of civilization in the past each one of them with their own characteristics, while now, science is defining the stages and power of the countries summing or extracting value to themselves.

Daniel Verdejo EL EROTISMO EN LA PREHISTORIA EROTIC ART – PREHISTORY As we can see through different images, they had sexual intercourse with animals, homosexual relations and more than two people at the same time. http://www.arterupestre-c.com/1000.htm Venus – Venuses http://www.arterupestre-c.com/1000ven.htm There is o ne sculpture that is emblematic, found in 1908, after lots of research and different epochs being affirmed as the real o nes about this sculpture, now they believe it was done around 24,000-22,000 BC. It shows a woman with a large stomach that overhangs but does not hide her pubic area. A roll of fat extends around her middle, joining with large but rather flat buttocks, there’s no face and seems that at this place there is a hat or even hair rolled up o n the head. Her genital area would appear to have been deliberately emphasized with the labia of the vulva carefully detailed and made clearly visible, perhaps unnaturally so, and as if she had no pubic hair. This, combined with her large breasts and the roundness of her stomach, suggests that the “subject” of the sculpture is female procreativity and nurture and the piece has long been identified as some sort of fertility idol. The fact that numerous examples like that of a female figure. All generally exhibiting the same essential characteristics – large stomachs and breasts, featureless faces, minuscule or missing feet – have been found over a broad geographical area ranging from France to Siberia. That suggests that some system of shared understanding and perception of a particular type of woman existed during the Paleolithic. Daniel Verdejo – Barcelona España arterupestresi@hotmail.com
